35th Annual GSARS
Spring Semester, 2019
The 35th Annual Graduate Student Assembly Research Symposium featured 97 presenters, competing in the Research Oral Presentation (15 minute), Flash Talk (5 minute), and Poster categories. For the first time, the Poster Presentation session and the buffet-style banquet were held at the same time, which drove increased interest and attendance for those presentations.
Over $18,000 in awards was provided in the form of scholarships for these deserving presenters. All of these funds were derived from donations from our many generous offices, colleges, schools, departments, and programs at Virginia Tech. We are especially grateful to the Graduate School's generous funding, which assisted in covering much of our operating expenses this year.
