Surveys and Info

1 Health & Well-Being Working Group - Survey 1 - Let us know about Barriers to access the resources

https://forms.office.com/r/KF6UGYPYRp

As you might know, with GPSS's yearlong efforts, Student Affairs has convened the Graduate Student Health & Well-Being Working Group to examine the unique structural, cultural, and environmental factors that influence the well-being of graduate students at Virginia Tech and to develop actionable, system-level recommendations that promote a culture where excellence and well-being coexist.

The first part of the survey is to understand the barriers to access the resources available on campus. Please fill out this survey to let us know about your experience. Also please share it with your constituents.

It can seem like everything is working fine when no feedback is shared by student, so please take a moment to complete the survey.

2 Summer Support: FAQ & Resource Guide by Cranwell International Center

With all that is going on in the world, we have received many questions where the answers extend beyond Cranwell International Center into the work of other colleagues on campus. Many of these questions have centered around basic needs or financial concerns tied to immigration uncertainty, including summer unemployment. You will find a Frequently Asked Questions document attached that goes over the best answers so that in this busy time of year you are not having to go to multiple offices to understand what is possible and what resources exist. We are thankful for the Dean of Students, Hokie Wellness, the Graduate School, the Graduate Ombuds, Career & Professional Development, The Market at Virginia Tech, and Cook Counseling for working with us to try to streamline the answers in a way we could share them.

We know this document cannot solve the structural problems many of you are facing. We also know that some of you are in situations that do not fit neatly into any of these categories. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the campus office you think best fits, and we will do our best to assist you in navigating this moment.

-Lauren Oliver, Director of Cranwell International Center
